it has been a while and so much has happen. i have been busy with work and of course my family. but i have been busy doing bits and pieces. i am currently in a art doll swap . i already have done one swap and am on my second one now. enjoying these swapa so muck. i have also been doing some digital work for a book i am doing at the moment. it is a book about what makes me love to create.

this is my altered mixed media 7gpyies configure box. most of images used are from fleur de lis emporium new designe tags. used lots of mixed media and the flowers are all fleur de li as well. all are pure silk. had a great afternoon doing this and was very happy with colours and placement of media. this was a very happy project to create. enjoy

i did layout with my daughter sharney standing in the snow in japan. it meant alot to me to do this layout. my sister is still over there, trying to piece back together her life. the paper to me was new life , the photo was one of happiness and peace the flowers have pieces of japanee fabric through out.. hope you enjoy and remember how lucky we are.

hi all, well i have been busy doing new designs for fleur de lis emporium, and decided to creat an art book of all my new designs. only a little way though but will be adding pages each time of lastest ideas and designs.
i used an old book and am so happy how it turn out. really enjoyed the texture side of this cover. and only used paper and paint,ink.

well i finally have a new address book. i did all the images with screen printing, then cut them out , i also made the tag for back ground. hand made flowers to finish it off. i added a tag and chain so i never lose my page again.

well i have had another great week. i have benn busy working in my studio. this week i have had some great new about my flowers. so i will be sharing this news later . it a secret now.
but i have done this lovely canvas using some of new flowers. lots of lays , had great fun applying all the layer as with the collection of odd bits. there is a love steam punk design photo ,some altered clay charoltte dolls and awhole lot of other wonders.

timeless time canvas

well another wonderful day in my studio . i was lucky enough to be able to complete this great canvas. i really wanted to play with many layers and also different textures. also i wanted to use these great speampunk images.

the flower are all hand made by me and altered to suit the canvas. i changed my use of really dark colour to a few softer ones. this was also to enhance the imagaes and altered and found objects.

hi i live in western australia and love my family and my art. my work means every thing to me and i take great pride in finishing and cretaing a finished object. i have no plans for my art it just comes and ideas follow. sometimes at odd hours such as 1 or 2 am.
i love scrapbooking off the page the most and steampunk to gothic. love halloween when i tranform the front of hourse into one big peice of art.
my 8 year old also create in my studio next to me and sometime we spend alday in there to gether. so it is very forfulling to do this with thomas.

Tutorial for the cutest cardstock roses ever:)

Whoever came up with this idea is a GENIUS! Unfortunately, that would not be me. I found a tutorial for these awesome roses over at;

So I take NO credit at all for this! I just love them and wanted to share!

You will need 18 hearts in 4 different sizes. If you have a Cricut it comes in real handy here. I cut from sturdy card stock:

6 x 2 1/4"
5 x 2"
4 x 1 3/4"
3 x 1 1/2"

I didn't use the "Real Dial Size" button, so they are in fact smaller.
If you don't have a Cricut you could use a Fiskars heart template. That's what they used on the tutorial I saw.

I inked all the edges with two different shades of darker red. You can also use acrylic paint or chalk. Punch a tiny hole at the bottom of every heart.

Take a brad (in the same color) and turn it upside down and start putting all the hearts through it.Start with the smallest hearts and work your way up.

This is what you will have when you are done:

Now the magic starts: take petal by petal and scrunch them up and around towards the middle. Don't be gentle here; the more manhandling the better!

It will look something like this when you are done;

Then, bend the petals back out as much as you want. Depends on how much you want the rose to be open.Last step is to spray the rose with glimmer mist. You can buy it or make it yourself as I did. Click here to find out how to make it!

Here is a close up of the rose. Not too bad huh?
Because of the mist, the card stock gets kinda moist and sometimes the paper starts to flake. I like that! In fact I take a paper piercer and try to split the card stock.

Here is the first one I did with acrylic paint. I think I like the look with ink better.

The top two roses I made with white card stock. The color is from the mist. Awesome don't you think?

I say the same thing about this as I do about driving;if I can do it, anyone can!!

hi all and happy new to all
what have we been up too. well we had a family christmas and enjoyed the day. my sister was over from japan , mum came too so it was nice to have some family for lunch. thomas loved all his presents although we didn't like all the noise lol.
wealso had a fun day at whiteman park. thomas and i were lucky to get in and see where they repair all the trains so took some great photo's. it was 45 that day so thomas enjoyed coolong off in the pool at whiteman park be fore heading home.
also been doing some challenges and layouts for scrap,chat'n'challenges so have alook later.
i have added photo's of christmas and our day out at whiteman park. also the new callenges. so enjoy and enjoy our wonderful year ahead

this is mt altered album. i have use donna downey's fabric album in this project. i have also sewen the images over glimmermist sprayed images to give a 3d effect.iron-ons have been used instead of photo's in some of the layouts.

well what a night we had. thomas had a great time and wanted ti go on all the rides. but only let him go the bumber cars but took photo's of the rides he wanted to go on. also he won a dog toy from the dart he hit 8 out 10 ballons so he was so wrapped to win.then it was time for showbags and fireworks.

hi all
well i attended the 12 hour scrap-a-thon last saturday. had a ball did lots of great items and finished my book. photo's will be later in week. started second book and again photo's to follow.
i had a great response to my work and have been asked to do some workshops so this may be in 2009 i will let you know.
i will be adding more vintage altered pack to store shortly as these have been very fast sellers, new bag designs will be up shortly also.
material will be a new feature in our shop soon so stay tune for this.

New Stamp Packaging
We have recently changed the way we package our rubber stamps. All of our stamps are now sold inside a hard plastic blister pack, which not only looks a lot nicer for store display, but handles shipping with ease. Some of you have already received our new packaging within your order and the feedback has been wonderful!

Rubber Shortage
Unfortunately, we are currently experiencing a shortage of rubber material from our suppliers. We are doing the best we can to have our stocks back to normal in the quickest time possible. At this stage we do not have a definite date, however we are expecting to resume shipping of rubber stamps in early November. All orders containing rubber stamps will be held until further notice. With the popularity of the Christmas Reindeer set, right now I would love for Santa to ride by early on his sleigh and drop us some rubber!!

All jokes aside, we apologise for this delay and for the inconvenience this may cause. Please feel free to phone or email us if you would like to discuss this further. We will also send out notification when our supply is back to normal. In the meantime, all of our paper products are in stock and shipping as normal.

OMG what a great weekend it was on the 23 24 august. thankyou must go out to sharon manning who put the workshop on. we had 10 of us there and we worked hard all weekend. sharon husband worked hard all weekend filling up our coffee and bring out really yummy foods. we wanted to take him home, but sharon said no lol
anyway judy was wonderful with all her information and let me tell you there was heaps of it. we all dyed fabric .burnt it stretch it and frayed it around the edge, then we aged all the brass and copper sampling and finding even the eyelets, so learnt heaps of neat tricks to use.
we layed and layed and burnt and layer some more.
the other on the workshop did heritage and they were so lovely. i felt a little odd as mine was so different. mine had barbwire.rusty nails and lots of transparency in use, not to metion the gothic feel, even down to the tomb stone.but hey i loved it. will be up loading photo's soon.

welcome to our new blog. i am very excited about this as now we can view all our customers works of art. learn whats happening in my world of altered scrap-booking and also hopefully some great art works from me.lol

well for all of you who don't know me i am 45 and married with 3 children, Sharney, Todd and Thomas.
my wonderful husband is Wayne .
oh yes and our very fat dogRex.

domslittleshop.com started in 2007 as an idea to start a shop on line to carry different items from our usual scrap-booking shops.
my great friend nic started twiddleybitz in 2007 and ask me to join her design team. which i did. we now carry the complete range of these lovely chipboard lazer cuts and bazzill cutz.
i also was lucky enough to go to asi in sydney this year and learn and catch up with what is happening in the retail and whole sale world.
i came back from over they with darkroomdoors stamps and buzz & bloom added to my collection.
so things were going well with my plan.
i have since add domslittleshop own designs a s well cuts to scrap for which is another brain storm of mine.
we are currently working on bags, these bags have altered design printed on to them by me and also our lovely range of faries. i am currently working on our halloween bags so they will be up in our shop shortly.
transparencies are our other passion here at domslittleshop.com and i spend many hours doing them. we are currently working on many new designs.
jewelery is also another passion of mine and i have been lucky to have been able to bring a great range on board.
so lot's happening with us including twice a month i am on radio promoting workshops,websites and of course domslittleshop.com
if you have any workshops or great ideas or now of some new products please post them on this site.
and we will prote them for you.

shop i am promoting at the moment are Tomorrows Memories and Scrap-booking to di for. Twiddleybitz and swan valley learning center. i shall post time table for these business each month.
